PTFE has high chemical resistance, is UV resistant, and possesses good aging resistance. The temperature range for PTFE spans from -200°C to about +250°C. The material is also self-lubricating, which means minimal maintenance is required, for instance, in bearings and seals. PTFE is known for its non-stick property, meaning it is difficult for things to adhere to the material. An etched PTFE surface enables adhesive functionality.
